The base has a Polished brass finish. Standing 23" tall the lamp can be turned on and off simply by touching the base. This also controls the 3 power settings.
What makes this lamp so unique, however, is the shade. In a brass metal framework are 6 panels of glass. Each panel has an image of the Virgin Mary. The diameter of the shade is 14 inches so this is a large lamp. Three 15-watt bulbs are included. Some assembly is required for all of our lamps.
